Summary
When it comes to camcorders, my personal choice is Sony since they have been making high quality camcorders for years. The Sony DCR-DVD403 is a great buy, but then the other manufacturers have also been producing great stuff in recent years. The Canon Optura 400 is equally good, and you may even consider the models from JVC, Panasonic and Samsung if you are comfortable buying their electronic products in general.
